What kind of games are
there?
As an official in the NJBL family of Umpires, you can expect a mixture
of games from the National Junior Baseball League and various outside
leagues.
What is the pay?
The games range in pay from $45.00 to $75.00, depending on the league
and the age of the players.
How do I get assigned to
games?
All games are assigned through the Arbiter Assigning system. As long as
you check your e-mail at least once per day, you will remain an official
in good standing. You will receive games just about every day you are
available. Your availability must also be kept up to date.
What are the costs for me?
The insurance fee (for the entire year) is $70.00. Your initial costs
would also include the purchase of a shirt ($35.00) and a cap ($15.00).
There are no other fees.
Do I pay any other fee per
game?
There are no assigner’s fees (or cuts). You keep what you get paid.
How many games can I work?
If you have the availability to work one game per season or 300 games,
this is the place for you.
We treat our officials as
